Along with our prosecution duties, the Office of the Clark County Prosecutor also handles a wide variety of other services for the county and its citizens, along with providing legal representation to the County Assessor and the Quorum Court.

File An Affidavit

Our office, along with the City Prosecutor’s Offices in the county, prosecutes misdemeanor criminal incidents based on affidavits filed by citizens alleging criminal conduct.  The Prosecutor’s office will assist citizens with these problems and may issue warning letters to potential criminal defendants or refer citizens to private counsel for civil matters.

Our staff will assist you in preparing the affidavit and give you information about the criminal justice system.

Prosecutors can explain the proof needed to prosecute a case.

Please contact us if we can be of assistance to you.

Protection Orders

Orders of Protections are used to protect victims of domestic abuse or victims that have been threatened with domestic abuse.  Please contact our office immediately if you have been a victim of or have been threatened with domestic violence.  Our office will assist you in completing the required petition to request the Court to issue an Order of Protection.  We will also assist you in obtaining an attorney to represent you and attend this proceeding with you. Whether an Order of Protection is issued is in the discretion of the Judge.  Our office is only allowed to assist in the preparation of the petition.  Please contact our Domestic Violence team if you have further questions.
