Arkansas law provides that victims of domestic violence may be entitled to court orders prohibiting contact from an abuser. Orders of protection may be issued by the court for instances of domestic violence committed against a family or household member.
Application for orders of protection are free of charge. The Ninth-East Judicial District has a grant program – “Justice for All” – which allows applicants for orders of protection in Clark County to be represented in hearings related to the requested order of protection by local attorneys within the grant program.
